Culture Club South Bay x Surfrider Foundation Paddle Out
This past International Surfing Day (6/18/22), Culture Club South Bay hosted a beach cleanup and paddle out in collaboration with Surfrider Foundation and Heal the Bay from 10am to 12pm.
Juneteenth at Bruce’s Beach
On Juneteenth in 2021, Culture Club South Bay celebrated its first Juneteenth, shortly after the day was officially honored as an American holiday properly commemorating Black liberation and freedom.
Unfortunately, as of March 15, 2022, the City of Manhattan Beach has voted against hosting any organized gatherings at the park, and we are unable to celebrate Juneteenth this year with all of you.
We find this very unfortunate and hope things change in the future. We believe that all public parks should have the same guidelines and policies, especially when a location is as historic and meaningful as Bruce’s Beach.
